The Firefighter Fit Kids IMPACT
FFK Interactive Introduction
The Firefighter Fit Kids interactive pack is an inclusive, fun, inspiring, vigorous HIIT exercise programme aimed at children across the UK.
The package consists of 16 HIIT workouts with inspiring firefighter footage that will capture the imagination of all those taking part.
Here at FFK we aim to inspire our next generation to a healthier, happier future by sharing our firefighter related workouts and nutrition tips.
As a service that reaches out to children across the country, our aim is to become achievable positive role models creating a sustainable and enjoyable fitness programme that children will want to come back to time and time again.
According to a recent study, more than a quarter of primary school teachers feel unqualified to teach PE. Although Firefighter Fit Kids is not a full time replacement for PE we want teachers to use the FFK interactive pack and create new ways that physical education is delivered in primary schools.

What is HIIT?
HIIT or high intensity interval training is a training technique that requires 100% effort through quick intense bursts of exercise followed by short active recovery periods all done at the child’s own pace. A FFK HIIT session will increase the pupils metabolism, reduce insulin resistance, improve cardiac functions, improve general fitness, be a quick and convenient form of exercise, require no equipment and be able to work in most spaces.
First Aid sessions featuring R and R Training Solutions
Many children are often unfortunately put in the situation which requires the need for first aid care to be provided. Most do not have the confidence to deal with the situation, the importance of first aid being taught in schools cannot be underestimated.
First aid is an important life skill that helps reduce fatalities and enables the faster treatment of injuries. It also has an important role to play in providing staff and pupils with a sense of purpose and achievement, giving them the skills that will potentially save lives. First aid is emergency care given immediately to an injured person – By receiving training through their school years it gives them the confidence and knowledge to be able to deal with first aid incidents and not to be afraid of helping casualties. With Defibrillators in nearly every school, Park and Shopping centre it is essential they understand how these can be used to possibly save someone’s life.
Along with getting a fun fire related HIIT workout you will also receive complementary worksheets to reinforce the learning points that we have covered throughout the sessions. Our Firefighter Fit Kids can also take these home so that they can share the safety, health and nutrition information with the rest of their families.
